    1. mild spoilers possibleWhat a horrendous piece of humus The reviews are terribly misleading I refuse to accept that I m the only one who despised this. The blurb said it s a story about a tomboy and the new guy falling for each other What it doesn t say is that the tomboy, Dawn, completely changes herself in order to woo the new guy, Tony. Not only that, but Tony tells her to change If you took off your glasses, I think all the guys on the team would want a chance with you. After that, he proceeds t [...]

    2. This was a really nice short story As someone who lacked both money and a chest growing up, I could really relate to Dawn Her insecurities felt very real and some of the crap she had to endure really hit home I applaud LM Preston for giving us a realistic view into Dawn s life, both the good sides and the bad.And I also really enjoyed how the story was told in episodes, so we didn t have to read about the times in Dawn s life where nothing much different was happening and she was just left to pi [...]

    3. Since this was a short story, I m going to keep my description a bit shorter to avoid spoilers.Dawn has always been a tomboy She wears big, ugly glasses, has braces, and always wears her hair in a ponytail She plays football with all of the neighborhood boys until Tony shows up Dawn has never felt so flustered over a boy before Tony As time goes on, she becomes closer to Tony, but never in a romantic way She longs for him but believes she will always be his tomboy friend I m going to leave it ju [...]

    6. This is an endearing story of learning to trust one s inner self, letting go, and giving in to that first love Most of us can relate to the awkwardness that comes with those middle school years some of us can relate to carrying those feelings as we continued to grow and mature throughout our high school years I loved Dawn s flaws and how they eventually motivated and changed her from the inside out Her emotions and reactions within her world felt real and moving It wasn t a stretch at all for me [...]

    7. 5 s.This is very cute short story about a girl, Dawn who has trouble with friends, money, and being flat chested Its got high school drama, puppy love and all the things kids, Dawn s age goes through when they are lower on the totem poll I really felt for Dawn and I felt that I could put myself in her place I also LOVED the fact that it was broken down into scenes Its a new way of reading for me and an experience that I enjoyed and wished some other authors wrote this way I am super happy that I [...]

    8. Flutter of Luv is a short story about two friends falling in love Dawn is not the typical girlie girl She s of the tomboy type She falls for Tony the new kid on the block and a handsome jock.Dawn s character is so relatable She has problems with friends, money, being able to tell what she feels I love the fact that Dawn was shown as a strong girl who could play football better than some guys but it also showed a feminine side of her.The way the scenes were broken down sorta reminded me of readi [...]

    9. I cried when I read this story I could see myself as Dawn with all those insecurities that fifteen year old girls have Especially the ones who have best friends who are selfish and narcissistic I was always comfortable with boys too I liked how the story flowed but was a little disappointed that it ended so quick I wanted Tony was an all around great guy despite his early beginning, but really who could blame the guy Dawn was hiding behind a wall of armor A very bittersweet story of first love [...]

    11. This short story felt like a novel The author captures adolences beautifully with all it s highs and lows That something special about your first true love is brought across here and the awkwardness of being the geeky kid who merits a place in your heart will win your over The old neighborhood gang along with a few laughs and a few lessons to be learned made this really enjoyable.
